If you think you can create a better one that covers EVERY SINGLE QUESTION a user couple possibly come here for, feel free. That post took me a ridiculous amount of time to research, write, and format, and other than a couple scripts in there written by others, that's 100% original and from myself to the AHK community. This is like 3rd of 4th time I've seen you post something negative about it. That being said, I take personal offense to you ragging on the stickied post that I wrote for this community. Disagreeing and debate are great, but if you're going to call someone out, provide a solution. I'm also in complete agreement with real_b about responding without providing an answer. If an AHK user can't click on a documentation link for the send command and read about sending down and up states, or if they're too lazy to try to google it (very 1st result when Googling autohotkey hold down key), then they're not going to make it far in scripting, let alone actual programming. The only thing it doesn't cover is up/down states which IS clearly covered in documentation references provided in EVERY SINGLE EXAMPLE.
#Ow to hold alt key on mac how to
There's plenty in that post that explains the concepts of sending a key and how to toggle the state of anything, which is exactly what this user wants. Just because it doesn't blatantly say "this is how you do it" doesn't mean the core concept aren't clearly covered.

Nowhere in the "Read this before posting" section does it show you how to send a down event.

No multiplayer scripts that give an advantage over another human.
